This is specific commentary addressing Larry Johnson’s statements regarding Russian restraint at the end section of the video.
Let’s be honest Larry, Western commentators and Westerners in general, that get particularly annoyed or even angry that Russia is not sufficiently aggressive in their eyes, are not making this claim from a position of deep caring about the Russian people.
They are doing so, because they expect Russia to save them from the Tyranny of Western governments.
Thus, abdicating their own responsibility in this matter.
The Tyranny in the West is not Russia’s problem to resolve, until it becomes an immediate threat to Russia’s existence.
At that point, every person in the West is a legitimatise target for abdicating their responsibility of controlling their own governments.
If the situation develops to such a degree that Russia must resolve Western Tyranny, then that is not going to be a fun time for anyone.
Are you still keen in Russia becoming more aggressive?
If Russians themselves want to have the discussion of how far to push it, then that is up to them. Because if the escalation is disproportionate, ill-timed or poorly executed, then the consequences fall back on the Russian people.
The benefit of Russian’s self-imposed restraint, is that the people of the West have time to get their act together regarding those that rule over them through democracy.
These people, on all sides, that are overly enthusiastic to see Russia escalate this conflict, should be careful what they wish for. Because what may eventuate, in all likelihood, will bear no satisfactory resemblance to what they desire.
Not every problem needs to be approached in the American way of brute force and ignorance.1
