K.J. makes some great points about the problems faced. But his indoctrinated Socialist responses to the causes, are absolute rubbish.
All Capitalism means, is the private ownership of Capital.
That’s it.
Nothing more.
Individuals create Capital through their own endeavours, then Individuals get to keep and decide how that Capital is used.
Socialists use the term “Capitalism”, as a catch-all phrase for their personal pet peeves. Some quite legitimate, but in actuality, have nothing to do with Capitalism, specifically.
To say that the United States and other Western countries are not Socialist, is misreading the landscape.
The United States is a Socialist country, for Corporations and the Oligarchy.
The United States has a centrally planned economy, for Corporations and the Oligarchy.
This is often referred to as Crony Capitalism. But is more accurately stated as, Crony Socialism.
Cronyism is special privilege, for the few that are politically connected.
This can occur is any political system, whether it is Capitalist, Socialist or Communist.
To imply that Socialist systems are impervious to corruption is simplistic and naive.
Corruption can exist in any system.
Does K.J. think there weren’t special privileges for members of the ruling class in the Soviet Union or Mao’s China?
Does K.J. think there aren’t special privileges for members of the ruling class in the Socialist European Union?
China itself became more economically prosperous when it freed up its economy and allowed its people to own their own property.
From this freeing up of the economy, China has gone from very low literacy rates, to essentially universal literacy levels in a matter of a couple of decades.
It wasn’t like this, under the controlled economic system of Communism.
K.J. is obviously and intelligent person. But Socialist indoctrination hamstrings him significantly.
As stated previously, with Dave Smith and Libertarian ideology, Lazy! Lazy! Lazy!
Timestamp 54:15 – K.J. expresses statements about freedom to make individual decisions, and in the same sentence, calls for collective power.
In a collectivised, controlled economy, who gets to decide which people control the economy? Who gets to control and direct collective power?
K.J. talks about master/slave relationships. Well, in a Socialist system and a centrally planned economy, is there not those that centrally control the economy? Are they not now the new masters over the slaves, that are required to abide by their master’s rulings?
These Socialist can’t even see the contradictions that they themself create and endorse.
They imagine some Socialist utopia. If only they were allowed to control everyone and everything. While at the same time, everyone has the freedom to do as they please.
What?
According to Socialist, people are free, as long as they abide by strict Socialist controls.
How is this Tyranny, different to any other?
Humanity needs higher quality Individuals. Not some imagined perfect political system.
No political system is going to compensate for the deficiencies of poor quality Individuals.
One indicator of poor quality Individuals, is a sense of entitlement toward other people’s property.
The foundation of Socialism, is promoting the sense of entitlement toward other people’s property.
Socialism requires and promotes, poor quality Individuals.
It’s amazing how someone can come across as both intelligent and stupid, at the same time.
This is what ideological indoctrination does, it seems.
People become wedded to a particular ideology, or vehemently opposed to a seemingly counter ideology, then force it work in their own heads, regardless of the inconsistencies.

There are far better critiques of Socialism available. This is just some off-the-cuff ramblings, after getting annoyed watching the linked video.
