…I’m glad you said that.
Yesterday I had a two hour conversation with Dmitri Trenin. Who is a senior, he used to head up the Carnegie Endowment for Peace in Moscow.
He used to be part of the, back when America and Russia were talking about partnership, he was the man that was making the partnership work.
But he has the ear of Vladimir Putin, he is a man of substance in Russia.
You know, we’ve collaborated together on trying to stop nuclear war over the course of the last year and I was saying over and over again, how close we were to nuclear war, how close we were to nuclear war.
And there’s a lot of people out there going, Scott, Scotty, Scotty, Scotty. Calm down, it’s not as bad, no. You’re exaggerating.
Trenin, yesterday said, America will never understand how close they came to having, not just one time, not just twice, but at least three times, a nuclear war.
How absolutely close we came.
Putin, he said was under more pressure than you could possibly imagine from the Russian system, that said they had crossed every red line and if we don’t stop them now, it will be the end of us. We must act now! We must use nuclear weapons!
Guys, we are so lucky to be alive today, and it’s not because of anything that happened here in the United States. It’s simply because Putin decided that he wasn’t going to push the button.
But we were provoking him so much. The Biden administration, almost killed everybody.
Almost killed everybody.
And Kamala Harris, had she been elected, would have killed everybody.
We have this president that none of us really understand. We’re not experts on Donald Trump. I don’t think there is an expert on Donald Trump.
We’re trying to figure out who this guy is. But all I know, is that he doesn’t want a nuclear war and he has articulated that.
And that helps me sleep easy at night.
Addressing Failings 1
Upon the eve of a new administration taking office in the United States, some serious self-reflection must take place by the entire country, give the information that Scott Ritter has just shared.
How did this happen?
How does an administration have the power to not only threaten the existence of the United States of America, but the entire world?
How was there no way to pull this back?
How was there no real-time accountability for all those involve?
The United States has some serious internal issue it must address. There is a parasitic disease which has spread throughout the U.S. political establishment, that threatens all life on this planet.
It is probably best that the United States limits or even removes itself from global affairs for an extended period of time, while it investigates and resolves its own serious internal failings in ensuring that nuclear annihilation is not something that ever comes close to occurring again.
How do psychopaths get anywhere near the White House or Congress in the first place?
This is a dark stain on the reputation of the United States, which already has serious transgressions to account for.
How can the rest of the world ever trust the United States again?
How is the fate of the world thrown onto the shoulders of one person?
If not for the restraint and patience of a foreign leader under tremendous pressure, planet Earth, would right now, be a waste land.
There would be no one reading this post, because there would be no post to read, or people to read it.
This is something everyone should reflect on.
