The reason that this may feel like Heady Stuff is because of the natural inclination to “Work This Out”. Which is fine, because it is part of the process that leads to Understanding and this is the precursor to Knowing.
An aspect of “Working This Out”, is processing the information. Processing information is just calculating an outcome to an equation, this is something machines are very good at.
Machines can calculate equations endlessly and the equations can even get more and more complex over time. But when all is said and done, the machine is still, only calculating equations.
Yet, there is one thing the machine cannot accomplish, no matter how many equations it solves or however complicated those equations become.
The machine can never Understand the equation, because the machine is subordinate to the equation. It is the equation that drives the machine.
Understanding the equation, is Transcending the equation.
The machine does nothing without the equation and the equation is useless without the machine.
Hence, the machine can never Understand how and why the equation works.
Thus, the machine can never reach a state of Understanding, so it can never attain a state of Knowing.
