Avoid Stress and Anxiety.
This sort of advice is frequently given with the intent of improving One’s health and well-being. But what does this mean and is that really the outcome of such advice?
Generally speaking, Psychological/Emotional stress is not a switch that is turned off and on at will.
Psychological/Emotional stress, in and of itself, is not a health problem, it is an indication of Inner Conflict.
Chronic, unresolved Inner Conflict begins to break down the Psyche and eventually the Emotional and Physical bodies as well. This is the health problem.
Stress and Anxiety are to be resolved not avoided. Avoidance creates the chronic issue.
Stress can have a stimulating and rejuvenating effect once the Inner Conflict has been resolved.
An effective method to improve and maintain Physical health is high intensity exercise.
Exercise is a stress on the Physical body. It stimulates the Physical body into an adaptive response, which then leads to an improvement in health and well-being.
However, chronic exercise creates chronic Physical stress and eventually a breakdown of the Physical body will result.
Relatively short exposure to high stress produces the adaptive response. Rest is required to allow the adaptation to manifest.
The difference between Physical and Psychological/Emotional stress is that Physical stress from exercise is allowed and even welcomed, whereas Psychological/Emotional stress is treated like an illness that must be shunned and avoided.
