I Don’t Get Democracy
These two gentlemen, present a video by the blatantly Russian hating BBC, on Russia, about how Vladimir Putin’s opponents are all in jail, and take it at face value.
That’s some solid, unbiased reporting right there.
Meanwhile, they fail to mention that presidential elections in Romania, were overturned in 2025, because the European Union did not like the result, and eventually installed their own favoured candidate.
Then, they have this silly map, that shows the United States with “mostly free and fair elections”.
If United States’s elections are “mostly free and fair”, that does not reflect well on Americans, given what the results have been.
Besides, what it the point of having “mostly free and fair elections”, in a contrived two-party political system, where both parties have been co-opted by downright evil special interest groups?
Also, who were the “experts” that compiled these maps they’re presenting?
Oh! Of course, Western academics.
Bastions of Truth, those Western academics.
I thought this was going to be a serious video.
Apparently not.
I should have known, when they started playing with plastic blocks.
Very superficial and naive.
Any system, is a reflection of the quality of the Individuals that created it, and participate in it.
No system, is going to fix a screwed-up Humanity.
The system is not the source of problem.
Poor Human quality, is the source of the problem.
It is the equivalent to blaming the car, for a 200 km/hr accident. But failing to address the fact that the driver is deaf, visually blind, with severe cognitive dysfunction, never learnt how to drive and intoxicated.
Maybe the car wasn’t the problem.
