If One has a functional sense of smell, then One is able to distinguish the fragrance of a flower, from the stench of a rotting corpse. Even though, One may not see or be able to determine where the source of these aromas emanates.
Without this sense of smell, One could be inundated with a plethora of scents, while being totally oblivious to their presence.
Developing deeper levels of Sensory Perception, which can recognise various Energetic traces, gives One the ability to identify forces and influences that may not directly or immediately be visible.
