In Australia, 9th of June 2025 is the King’s Birthday public holiday.
At around this same time of year, we also used to have the Queen’s Birthday public holiday.
However, this is not that actual day of Charles’s birthday, nor was it the actual day of Elizabeth’s birthday.
Did I say Australia?
Well, not all of Australia.
Western Australia and Queensland do their own thing. But still, not on Charles’s or Elizabeth’s actual birthdays.
New Zealand decided to have their public holiday last week. Presumably because the day first starts in New Zealand, or something like that.
The United Kingdom commemorates the King’s or Queen’s Birthday on a different day, again.
Which is also not their actual Birthday.
Why do we have these public holidays, that are nowhere near their actual birthday?
Who knows.
It’s just more government stupidity, I guess.
For anyone interested, Charles’s actual birthday is said to be on the 14th of November and Elizabeth’s actual birthday is said to have been on the 21st of April.
The point and purpose of royalty at all, is an even bigger issue, for another time, maybe.
Anyway, back to the real reason for this post.
Since it is the “King’s Birthday” and birthdays tend to be celebrated with friends; who was one of Prince Charles’s good friends?
The Paedophile, Jimmy Savile.
