Alternatively, The Fallacy of Guaranteed Safety & Security.
Nature’s primary role is to devise circumstances and situations that stimulate Awareness, encouraging it to stir, while consequently keeping it fresh and vibrant. Thereby establishing the opportunity for Awareness to engage and resolve Conflicts in a more creative and efficient manner, which in turn allows it to penetrate deeper into Being.
Human Beings in a hunter gatherer setting will be subjected to many natural threats and dangers, to keep Awareness primed and highly tuned. Survival is completely dependent on One’s ability to be Aware of their environment and innate capacity to adapt.
Societies that are heavily structured toward eliminating all Risk, will not only fail in that regard, but will create dull, comatose husks that barely function as real Human Beings, due to the lack of meaningful stimuli to arouse and challenge Awareness. But then, maybe that is the point of creating such societies.
However, Nature will not allow this kind of situation to persist indefinitely.
If a society becomes so comfortable and decadent to the point that Awareness is stagnating in a very shallow state of Being, it will conceive the necessary catalysts to re-enliven and re-invigorate Awareness into activity. This means that, if Nature needs to create tyranny to awaken a population out of its lethargic state, then Nature will create tyranny.
In fact, wannabe tyrants are ever-present, they exist to take advantage of lapses in vigilance, even in societies where Awareness is highly advanced. Their role being analogous to the sickness and diseases of the Physical Body.
Sick societies give tyrants the foot hold that they require to potentially destroy societies.
Risk is built into the foundational structure of Life. No authoritarian or their laws are ever going to eliminate Risk, no matter the claims made or guarantees given. Elimination of Risk, even if it is only perceived, leads to apathy, ignorance and arrogance, which then opens the door for tyranny to establish itself.
Just like diseases of the Physical Body, open tyrannies are generally relatively short lived. A serious disease that is not resolved quickly will eventually kill the host. Tyrannies that are not put in check promptly within a society, will ultimately destroy the society. This is because tyranny is based on a fundamental corruption and corruption has the seed of its own destruction built right into it.
Tyranny prefers to operate in the deep,
dark shadows for as long as possible.
Because once it is widely exposed,
the light of Awareness shines upon it,
which then leaves it extremely vulnerable.
Nature has infinitely more tricks up its sleeve to stimulate Awareness than the ego has workarounds. This ensures that the rot of stagnation does not overcome all of Creation, with Nature’s ultimate trump card being death itself.
Levels of Safety and Security are something an Individual decides for themself, possibly in voluntary co-operation and exchange with others. They weigh up all factors that they may be aware of and determine the degree that is adequate for them.
Authoritarian forms of Safety and Security are neither Safe nor Secure. Because authoritarians demand that their mandatory dictates be followed by all. If not, violent retribution will result for those that refuse to comply.
So how then, is this Safe & Secure?
The greater the Conflicts in the Inner world,
Referring to Humanity as a Whole
the greater the Tyranny in the Outer world.
The deeper the Conflicts in the Inner world,
the more hidden the Tyranny in the Outer world.
